I listened to the Smooth & spooky Variety show on Tuesday night. They had a great show and mainly talked about zombies and survival tips for a zombie apocalypse. I was amazed of how many tips they provided for surviving a zombie apocalypse. I really liked their gun commercial because it sounded very funny and blended in well with their radio show theme. Their weather clip was a nice addition to the show with the background’s wind sound working very nicely together. Also, their voices were pretty clear. Overall, it was a great radio show.
TXT gifs (3 stars)
This assignment requires writing two contradicting thoughts by using the animation, Gif. Since we just finished the group radio show, I would like to use 2 critics’ hosts from our Edward Creepy Show, a good critic and a bad critic. First, I created these 2 worlds in Paint and saved it to my computer. Then, I open GIMP and went to File>Open as Layers to upload these two images. Then, resize the photo by using the Scale Tool to 640X350. Finally, save it by pressing File>Exports as Gif file and Loop forever to your computer. To play the animation gif, just open a Brower and drop. Overall, this is an easy assignment if you know how to use GIMP.
From Place to Place 3 star
For this visual assignment I had to place some objects somewhere. Since this week’s assignments are collaborative character media to my work, I would like to put the famous Red Reaper in a dark street. First I found the Red Reaper and a Dark Street on google and downloaded them to my computer. Then, I opened the GIMP and opened the Red Reaper image and opened the Dark Street. Then, I cut the Red Reaper out and moved it to the background, the Dark Street, to make the final project. Lastly, I saved it as a file on my computer. You may upload the file to Flicker and embed Flicker’s link to your blog.
Design To shock 4 stars
For this assignment, I used Gimp to combine two images or texts to create a shocking message. I created this shocking image by using Gimp since I liked the Red Reaper character. I thought the skeleton of the Read Reaper may be scarier to people. To finish this assignment, first, I found the skeleton image of the Red Reaper online and downloaded to my computer. Then, I used 1001fonts.com to write the words and change the font color to gray and saved it to my computer. Then, I used Gimp, opened the font images, and used open as Layer to open the skeleton image. I resized the font images 50% smaller and merged the layer to the background image, the skeleton. Lastly, I saved it and embedded it to my blog.
